SUMMARY
Responsible for analyzing large datasets from billing, claims, and revenue cycle processes of a high-volume, US corporate accounts payable department for a multi-million dollar plus healthcare company. This position interacts significantly with Vendors, Employees (including Executives), Banking Partners, Treasury, and AR. The role requires an ability to maintain positive relationships with business partners with differing interests.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Analyze large datasets from billing, claims, and revenue cycle processes to uncover trends, variances, and optimization opportunities.
- Develop dashboards and reports using tools such as Datarails, Power BI, and Tableau to track KPIs like denial rates, A/R aging, collection performance, and charge lag.
- Extract and manipulate data using SQL and Excel from EMRs and practice management systems (e.g., CMD, EPD, Change Healthcare, GoRev).
- Collaborate with billing, coding, and compliance teams to ensure data accuracy and resolve issues related to claims and reimbursements.
- Create automated reporting workflows and data models to support recurring financial and operational reporting needs.
- Present findings and recommendations to leadership in a clear and actionable format.
- Ensure all data practices adhere to HIPAA and healthcare data privacy standards.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION.

- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Health Informatics, Finance, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in a data analysis or business intelligence role, preferably within healthcare or medical billing.
- Experience with Datarails, plus strong skills in Power BI, Tableau, and Excel.
- Proficiency in SQL and data extraction from multiple sources and systems.
- Familiarity with EMR and billing platforms such as CMD, EPD, Change Healthcare, and GoRev.
- Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical insights to non-technical teams.
PREFERRED SKILLS
- Knowledge of CPT/ICD-10 coding and healthcare claims workflows.
- Experience with Python or R for data analysis and automation.
- Prior involvement in FP&A or financial modeling is a plus.
